Safe Streets For All: Santa Cruz leaders need to see us in person
Join us this Thursday at Abbott Square to prepare public comments and organize together
Hello friends,
Santa Cruz has talked about safer streets for years. Meanwhile, people continue to be seriously injured on roads like Bay Street while critical safety projects remain delayed.
At the same time, the proposed city budget includes general fund money for office renovations — but not for quick-build street safety improvements.
We believe Santa Cruz can move faster.
That’s why we’re organizing ahead of the City budget hearing on May 26 to call for immediate investment in safer streets and quick-build projects, such as protected bike lanes, that can save lives.
Join us this Thursday, May 21 at 5:30 pm at Abbott Square to prepare public comments and organize together.
We’ll discuss strategy, help people craft short comments, and coordinate speakers for the hearing. Even if you don’t want to speak publicly, your presence matters.
